Max Napolitano's Naples Apartment Blends Bold Design with Timeless Elegance
Max Napolitano, a key figure in the fashion world, has unveiled his newly designed Naples apartment. The 130-square-metre space blends bold colours, eclectic influences, and a mix of old and new. Every room tells a story, balancing warmth with striking design choices.
The project was shaped by Napolitano alongside architects Simona Renga and Roberto Visconti. Their collaboration aimed to honour tradition while giving the space a fresh, modern twist.
The apartment's layout includes a main living area, a kitchen, a dining room, and a primary suite with an adjoining bathroom. Arched doorways frame the living space, where plush seating and heirloom glass fixtures create a relaxed yet polished feel. The dining room contrasts antique chairs with a sleek mirror-finished table, topped by boho-inspired lighting.
The kitchen stands out with its deep red resin floor and pale green walls. A stainless-steel island anchors the room, serving as both a functional workspace and a visual focal point. Nearby, the hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms features two shades of burgundy, adding depth and warmth.
In the primary suite, coloured wood panelling and mirrored surfaces link the bedroom to its bathroom. This design choice encourages a visual dialogue between the spaces. The guest apartment, accessible from a shared entryway, has its own distinct palette—black-blue marble floors paired with warm yellow accents.
Napolitano's background in fashion, including his close work with Virgil Abloh at Off-White, influenced the home's curated aesthetic. The apartment reflects his ability to merge craftsmanship with contemporary style, much like his contributions to iconic collections such as The 10 and Pyrex Vision.
The finished apartment combines intimate details with bold statements. Each room offers a unique atmosphere, from the cozy sleeping area to the guest suite's contrasting tones. The design reflects Napolitano's vision: a space that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.
