Maple Wine Festival's Third Installment: Introducing Maple Wine and a Laser-Equipped Wine Queen
In the historic district of Urdenbach, Düsseldorf, Germany, the third edition of the Urdenbacher Wine Festival took place on Josef-Kürten-Platz, from midday until 7 pm. Despite the initial rain showers, the festival was well-attended, with no attendees leaving due to the inclement weather.
Organised by the General Citizens' Association Düsseldorf-Urdenbach (ABVU) and Urdenbach Youth, the event featured popular wine slushies to help festival-goers beat the heat and humidity. Guests sat together at tables, celebrating and enjoying a cheerful summer playlist provided by a DJ.
The highlight of the festival was the election of the Wine Queen, Elli Hahn, who won the laser gun competition. Upon her victory, Elli received a small gift basket and a crown from the Citizen Guard.
Around 40 volunteers exchanged coins and bills for festival vouchers, ensuring a smooth flow of transactions throughout the day. Selected wines from the winery "Wilde Ahr" were served at the festival, adding to the festive atmosphere.
