Major bathhouse renovations completed in 2025 with more upgrades ahead

Major bathhouse renovations completed in 2025 with more upgrades ahead

A series of upgrades and repairs have been completed across several public bathhouses in 2025. The work included major renovations at key locations, with further improvements already planned for next year.

The bathhouse at the Chita State District Power Plant (GRÉS), ready to welcome visitors again from December 13, 2025, following its own refurbishment.

In 2025, four main bathhouses—numbers 3, 5, 6, and 8—underwent significant repairs. Additional facilities in Kamensk-Uralsky (Sverdlovsk region) and Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Khabarovsk region) were also restored during the same period. The GRÉS bathhouse was connected to a new system as part of its upgrade.

All other city bathhouses received cosmetic improvements. Looking ahead, funding has already been secured for 2026 projects. These include designing new ventilation systems for bathhouses No. 3, 5, and 8, as well as laying fresh tiles in their washing areas.

Further plans involve renovating the steam rooms in bathhouses No. 5 and 11. Major roof repairs are scheduled for bathhouses No. 5 and 8, while plastic windows will be installed in the lobby of bathhouse No. 8.

The Chita GRÉS bathhouse will welcome visitors again from December 13, 2025. Additional upgrades, including ventilation, tiling, and roofing work, are set to continue in 2026. The improvements aim to enhance comfort and functionality across the city’s public baths.
