Maduro's Porto Hotel Gets a Bold, Community-Focused Makeover

The Maduro Miguel Park Albergaria in Porto is undergoing a major renovation to transform it into a historic urban retreat. Owned by the Maduro Group, the project will introduce brighter interiors, warm materials, and bold colours to refresh the property's character.

The renovation is led by Urban Obras, a firm specialising in masonry, interior design, and sustainable building. Their team manages every phase, from civil engineering to finishing touches. The goal is to create a more welcoming space for families while deepening ties with the local community.

Costs for such projects vary widely. A standard renovation typically ranges from €700 to €1,200 per square metre. For premium finishes or full structural rehabilitations, prices can climb above €1,500 per square metre.

Once complete, the updated Albergaria will offer a fresh take on historic hospitality. The Maduro Group's investment aims to enhance guest experiences while reinforcing the hotel's role in Porto's cultural landscape. No completion date has yet been announced.
