Long-Time Social Worker Waltraud Heiter Honoured for Four Decades of Service

Waltraud Heiter, a long-time social worker in Fürth, has been honoured for her four-decade commitment to the community. She received the award for exemplary humanism at the Masonic Lodge 'Zur Wahrheit und Freundschaft'.

Heiter's dedication began in 1984 when she joined the Bavarian Red Cross. She led various working groups and clubs, demonstrating her passion for helping others.

In 2014, she founded the 'Community Welfare and Social Work' (WuS) in the district of Fürth. Prior to this, she served as the representative for care and social affairs on the board of the district association from 2009 to 2014.

Dr. Roland Hanke praised Heiter's creation of effective structures for caring for the sick, needy, and elderly. Franz Diwischek commended her lifestyle as an ideal reflection of Freemasonry's humanitarian ideals.

Heiter's award comes with a €4,500 donation to the 'Heart's Desire Mobile' of the BRK, recommended by her. This further demonstrates her commitment to improving the lives of those in need in Fürth and beyond.
