Local Artists Win Art on a Shopper Bag with Recycled Creations
A creative contest called Art on a Shopper Bag has crowned its winners in a public vote. Organised by the Northern Regional Operator, the competition invited participants to decorate recycled plastic bags with original designs. Over two dozen entries were submitted by children and adults from across the region.
The contest drew 28 unique designs, each crafted using any tools or software of the artist's choice. After voting closed, Bogdan Barbolin took first place with 437 votes. Artyom Levanian followed in second, earning 366 votes.
Maksim Isakov and Anar Nadzharov secured third place with 207 votes. Two special awards were also presented: Kristina Nechaeva received recognition from the company director, while Olya Solomakha was honoured by the operator's team. All winners will be rewarded with branded hoodies from the Northern Regional Operator.
The competition highlighted local creativity while promoting recycling through art. Winners were selected entirely by public vote, reflecting community engagement with the project. The Northern Regional Operator has not announced plans for future editions of the contest.
