The 9th Lisbon International Orchid Show returns this November with a stunning display of rare and exotic plants. Organised by the Portuguese Orchid Association (APO), the event will take place at the Santa Clara Market, next to the Feira da Ladra, from the 28th to the 30th. Visitors can expect a vibrant showcase of over 90,000 orchid varieties from across the globe.
The three-day event will feature exhibits from growers and collectors, highlighting not just orchids but also bonsai, tillandsias, bromeliads, cacti, and other tropical plants. Alongside the displays, a panel of expert judges will evaluate the entries and award prizes to the most outstanding plants. The show will also include talks on orchid cultivation and their various uses, providing insights for both enthusiasts and beginners.
For those looking to take home a piece of the experience, the event will offer orchid-inspired products such as liqueurs, chocolates, and jewellery.
The exhibition promises a rich blend of education and beauty, with thousands of orchids and tropical plants on display. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore rare species, learn from experts, and even purchase unique orchid-themed goods.
