Krewelshof Eifel's Tulip Season Blooms Despite March Weather Struggles

The tulip season has begun in the Eifel region, with Krewelshof in Mechernich opening its annual display for the second year. Nearly 250,000 bulbs were planted to create a vibrant show, though early blooms have been uneven due to March's unfavourable weather. The farm, better known for its pumpkin festival, now invites visitors to wander among the colourful beds and take photos.

Krewelshof Eifel has arranged 50 different tulip varieties to ensure a steady bloom until May 10. Some fields are already flowering, while others remain dormant after a difficult March. Despite the weather challenges, the exhibition offers a mix of early and late bloomers.

Visitors can explore the tulip beds up close, with paths designed for photography. A smaller version of the show is also running at Krewelshof's location in Lohmar. Bibiane Bieger, the farm's junior manager, noted that the opening weekend faced setbacks from the recent weather but remains optimistic about the season ahead.

The tulip display at Krewelshof Eifel runs until early May, featuring a wide range of varieties. Guests can enjoy walking through the fields and capturing the spring colours. For the latest updates, the farm recommends checking its official website or contacting them directly.
