Krasnoyarsk honours four cultural leaders ahead of 400th anniversary celebrations

Krasnoyarsk has honoured four cultural figures for their contributions to the city's artistic and educational life. The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Krasnoyarsk City Administration. The event also highlighted ongoing preparations for the city's 400th anniversary celebrations. Tatyana Ivleva, director of the Victory Memorial Museum, received the title of Merited Cultural Worker of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Under her leadership, the museum underwent a major reconstruction in 2025. The project included renovations to Victory Square and an expanded Hall of Memory.

Pavel Yakovlev, a ballet dancer with the Yenisei Dawns ensemble, was named Merited Artist of Krasnoyarsk Krai. His work has been recognised for its role in promoting the region's performing arts.

Lyubov Sakharova, head of the Main Cultural Directorate, was awarded an Honorary Diploma by the Krasnoyarsk Krai Legislative Assembly. Her efforts have supported the city's cultural sector, which employs over 3,000 people and serves more than 8,500 children in music and art schools.

Tatyana Romanovskaya, director of the B.G. Krivoshey School No. 3, was also honoured as one of the city's Best Cultural Workers. The school recently completed major renovations and reopened in January 2026 to mark its 70th anniversary.

The ceremony coincided with preparations for Krasnoyarsk's 400th anniversary. Organisers have planned an extensive cultural programme to celebrate the milestone. The awards recognise individuals who have strengthened Krasnoyarsk's cultural heritage. The city continues to invest in its institutions, from museums and schools to performing arts. These efforts form part of broader celebrations for the upcoming 400th anniversary.
