Krasnodar embraces ‘quiet’ DIY repairs as no-drill product sales soar 12%

Sales of no-drill products have surged in Krasnodar, indicating a trend towards 'quiet' repairs. This increase comes as residents combine DIY projects with hiring experts for complex tasks. The uptick began in July, accounting for 12% of all marketplace sales.

Electrical supplies have emerged as the most popular category, making up 12% of total sales. This is followed by finishing materials and heavy-duty equipment, including vibrating plates and generators. Demand for services to find skilled professionals has spiked, peaking in July with a 2.5-fold increase.

Megafon has played a significant role in this trend. The company has built or upgraded around a thousand telecom sites in Krasnodar, expanding access to digital tools for home improvement. Locals have focused on electrical installations, doorbell systems, and security setups. Mobile traffic to hardware store websites has surged more than threefold since the start of the year.

The increase in sales of no-drill products and the surge in demand for skilled professionals indicate a growing interest in DIY 'quiet' repairs combined with expert assistance. Megafon's expansion of telecom sites has facilitated this trend, enabling locals to access modern digital tools for home renovation.
