Koblenz’s Forest Eco-Station to Expand with New Family-Friendly Facilities

Plans are moving forward to expand the Forest Eco-Station on Koblenz’s Remstecken meadow. The quiet site, currently home to a simple 'green classroom', will soon see new facilities for education and family activities. Local authorities have already given their approval for the project.

The Remstecken meadow has long been the entrance to Koblenz’s municipal forest. For years, the Forest Eco-Station has operated modestly, just 20 metres from the Remstecken Forest House. Its only feature so far has been an unpaved outdoor space used for nature lessons.

The project will transform the Eco-Station into a more active learning hub. With seating for large groups and a proper stage, it will host more educational events. The meadow’s role as a gateway to the forest will now include better facilities for visitors of all ages.
