Monarch Displays His Gardening Efforts - King Charles’s garden revival at Sandringham hides a staffing crisis behind the scenes

King Charles, aged 76, graces the cover of Country Life magazine, showcasing the stunning gardens of Sandringham. The official royal Instagram account shared the striking photograph, capturing the King with a walking stick, dressed in a light blue shirt, tan trousers, a dark brown belt, and matching shoes.

Over the past three years, King Charles has spearheaded a remarkable restoration of the gardens at Sandringham. Historical landscapes have been revived, grounds redesigned, and new spaces for reflection and natural beauty created. This ambitious approach to his royal estates has made headlines, not just for the stunning results, but also for the challenges faced by the staff at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.

Eleven out of twelve realtors at Highgrove House allegedly resigned over the past three years. Reports suggest heavy workloads, low wages, and feedback from King Charles himself contributed to the high staff turnover. The King is known to have sent handwritten notes in red ink, offering both praise and criticism about the progress of his plants. However, a spokesperson for the King's Foundation maintains that Highgrove realtors are paid at the standard rate and that staff turnover and employment complaints are well below the national average.

Despite the challenges faced by the staff at Highgrove House, King Charles's vision for the gardens of his royal estates continues to inspire. The cover of Country Life magazine serves as a testament to his dedication and the remarkable transformation of Sandringham's gardens.
