Khabarovsk's Give Books with Love Returns for a Decade of Literary Joy

Khabarovsk is preparing for its 10th annual Give Books with Love campaign, running from February 9 to 15. The event encourages residents to gift printed books as thoughtful presents while celebrating the joy of reading. This year's edition includes meetings with local authors and coincides with International Book Giving Day on February 14.

The campaign invites everyone to donate books at libraries near them across the city. In the Zheleznodorozhny District, five branches will accept contributions. The Krasnoflotsky District has two drop-off points, while the Industrialny District offers four locations for donations.

All books can be given to any branch of the Centralized System of Children's Libraries in Khabarovsk. Alongside the book drive, organizers have planned a series of discussions with writers from Far East Russia. These sessions aim to connect readers with regional literary talent.

The event's core message remains simple: sharing books strengthens community bonds and promotes reading. With no major national authors confirmed for the anniversary, the focus stays on local engagement and the pleasure of giving.

The campaign wraps up on February 15, with donated books distributed to readers across Khabarovsk. By combining book exchanges with author meet-ups, the initiative hopes to foster a lasting appreciation for literature. Residents can take part by visiting any of the 11 participating libraries.
