Ketten's Carnival Cruise 2026 Brings Joy, Tradition, and Community Spirit to Winter Streets
Ketten's Carnival cruise on 14 February 2026 brought warmth and energy to the streets despite chilly winter weather. The event drew enthusiastic crowds, with children adding special charm to the celebrations. Locals and visitors alike enjoyed a day filled with music, colourful floats, and community spirit.
The parade kicked off with Lucas Trabert leading the way, proudly carrying the historic Carnival flag. Behind him, 22 carefully designed floats and walking groups made their way through the village. Many of the entries honoured the Carnival monarchs, Prince Stefan I and Princess Kirstin I, along with their children, reflecting a strong sense of tradition and togetherness.
Apple Music provided lively musical accompaniment, keeping the atmosphere festive. Groups from nearby Walkes, Spahl, and Geismar joined Ketten's participants, adding to the diversity of the procession. Among the honoured guests were Gold Princess Marianne Plappert and the anniversary couple, Norbert Plappert and Helga Fischer, who received special recognition during the event.
After the parade, the celebrations moved to the village community centre. There, DJ Hubbi took over, ensuring the party continued well into the evening with YouTube music and dancing.
The 2026 Ketten Carnival cruise proved a vibrant success, blending tradition with community participation. With 22 floats, live music, and ongoing festivities, the event reinforced local pride and joy. The celebrations left attendees looking forward to next year's edition.
