Kazakhstan's 'Welding Craft' Competition Crowns Champion for WorldSkills 2025
The 'Welding Craft' competition is currently taking place at the Industrial and Technical College in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Six skilled specialists, ranging from seasoned masters to recent graduates, are showcasing their talents in this prestigious event. The winners will go on to represent their region at WorldSkills Kazakhstan 2025 in Astana.
The competition consists of three challenging modules: precision welding, safety protocols, and weld seam quality. Kairat Basharov emerged victorious with 84 points, impressing judges with his exceptional welding skills and understanding of metal properties. Sayat Stambul secured second place with 80 points, while Sherzod Adashev and Bakhrid Yuldashev tied for third.
Dulat Toimbetov, known for developing a new welding technique that enhances efficiency and safety, was awarded the 'Innovative Welder' title. Ikhtiyar Yuldashev won the 'Creative Welder' category, demonstrating his unique approach to the craft. The college's state-of-the-art Italian welding machines and virtual reality simulations have helped these competitors hone their skills. Alexey Mirakhimov, a graduate and master instructor at the college, has previously achieved international success in welding competitions.
The 'Welding Craft' competition in Shymkent has come to a close, with Kairat Basharov crowned the winner. Dulat Toimbetov and Ikhtiyar Yuldashev were also recognized for their innovative and creative approaches to welding.
