New logistics center is being built near Leipzig/Halle Airport - Kabelsketal’s New Logistics Hub Sets Green Standards for Automotive Supply Chains

A new 50,600-square-meter logistics centre is taking shape in Kabelsketal. The project, led by L.I.T. AG, aims to strengthen the region’s position as a major hub for logistics and automotive industries. Construction is already underway, with completion expected by August next year.

Work on the site began in November. The facility will include advanced technology alongside eco-friendly features. Heating will rely entirely on fossil-free heat pumps, while rainwater harvesting systems will reduce water waste. Solar panels will cover the entire roof, generating renewable energy on-site.

L.I.T. AG, the main logistics service provider for the centre, is overseeing development. The company’s involvement ensures the project aligns with modern industry demands. Once finished, the hub will support the region’s growing role in transport and automotive supply chains.

The new logistics centre will bring cutting-edge infrastructure to Kabelsketal. Its sustainable design, including heat pumps and solar power, sets a standard for future developments. The facility is scheduled to open in August next year, reinforcing the area’s economic and industrial significance.
