IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 draws record demand with 11% exhibitor surge ahead of September launch
The IAA TRANSPORTATION trade fair will return to Hannover from 15 to 20 September 2026. Organisers report strong demand, with registrations already up by 11 percent compared to early 2024. Some exhibition halls have even reached full capacity ahead of schedule.
Around 23 percent of exhibitors will attend the event for the first time. The share of international participants remains steady at 70 percent, matching the previous edition's record. Companies from China, Turkey, and Italy are especially well represented.
Major brands like BYD, Daimler Truck, and ZF Group will showcase their latest developments. Renault Trucks, MAN, Scania, and Volvo Trucks have also confirmed their return. Suppliers form the largest exhibitor group, with firms such as Robert Bosch and BPW Bergische Achsen taking part.
The IAA Conference will run alongside the exhibition, focusing on fleet electrification, charging networks, and hydrogen solutions. Visitors can also experience guided test drives and live demonstrations of new assistance systems through the IAA Experience programme.
Tickets for the public will go on sale in April 2026. A provisional exhibitor directory is set to be published two months later, in June.
The event's early overbooking signals high industry interest. With a mix of new and returning exhibitors, the fair will cover key transport topics like automation and sustainable fuels. Final preparations will continue as the September opening approaches.
