This organic compound boosts moisture in several ways: by aggregating soil, increasing cation exchange capacity and water holding capacity, enhancing root development, acting as a buffer, and reducing water stress.

In dry garden areas, plants like Scharlachroter Feld-Thymian, Fetthenne, Königskerze, Katzenminze, and Eisenkraut are recommended. These drought-tolerant species are naturally adapted to dry conditions and can thrive with proper care. Regularly removing weeds, amending the soil with organic matter, mulching, and using proper watering techniques can also improve moisture in these areas. Humic acid aids in nutrient absorption and utilization by plants, leading to improved growth, root development, and overall plant health.
