How to Bring Old Geraniums Back to Life This Autumn

Autumn is the best time to revive old geraniums. A few simple steps can help them grow fresh leaves and bloom again. The process involves careful trimming, repotting, and the right soil mix. Before starting, let the plant dry for five to seven days. This makes trimming easier and stops soil from clinging to the roots. Once dry, cut away thick, brown roots that no longer feed the plant. Then, trim the top growth down to about 3-4 cm to encourage new shoots. With the right care, older geraniums can thrive again. Proper trimming, a well-draining soil mix, and careful watering help them regrow. The plant should soon produce fresh leaves and flowers if the steps are followed correctly.
