Hanover Seniors Get Free Pedelec Safety Training This Spring
The Hanover Police Department and ADAC are teaming up to offer free pedelec safety courses for seniors. The sessions aim to boost confidence and security for older cyclists riding their e-bikes. Four dates have been scheduled for spring 2025.
The courses will run on April 23, May 6, June 3, and June 17, all starting at 10:00 AM. Each session takes place at the ADAC Driving Safety Center in Laatzen and lasts around four hours. A coffee and cake break is included to give participants a chance to relax.
Spaces are limited to 25 people per session, and attendees must bring their own pedelec and helmet. Participation is free but comes at one's own risk. Similar courses in other German cities, like Forchheim and Bonn, have proven popular, though exact registration numbers are not publicly available. Seniors interested in joining can sign up by calling 0511 109-2583, -2584, or -2585. Alternatively, they can email [email protected] to secure a spot.
The courses provide a structured way for seniors to improve their e-bike handling skills. With four dates available, participants can choose a session that fits their schedule. Organisers encourage early registration due to limited capacity.
