Hanau's Speed-Dating Event Connects Volunteers with Local Causes in 90 Minutes

A volunteer speed-dating event is coming to Hanau on February 28, 2023. The Hanau Volunteer Agency is organising the gathering, which will take place at Hanau Stadthof from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. No registration is needed—anyone interested can simply drop in and explore opportunities.

The event will function as a marketplace for volunteering, bringing together local organisations and potential helpers. Groups like the Senior Citizens' Office, the Basic Education Center, and the Martin Luther Foundation will be on hand to discuss their work. Attendees can chat directly with representatives to learn about different roles.

Volunteering offers more than just a chance to give back. Participants often develop new skills, make connections, and gain fresh perspectives. The speed-dating format makes it easy for people to find opportunities that match their interests.

Hanau Stadthof, located at Am Markt 2, will host the event. Organisers have kept the session short—just 90 minutes—to encourage quick, focused conversations. The open-door policy means visitors can arrive and leave as they please.

The event provides a straightforward way to explore local volunteering. With no sign-up required, anyone can attend and speak with organisations in person. The Hanau Volunteer Agency hopes the format will help more people get involved in community projects.
