Hammering, sawing, and screwing

A hands-on workshop for children took place at Britz Outdoor Science Lab on December 13, 2025. Kids aged 8 to 12 spent the day building wooden animals using real tools like hammers, saws, and screwdrivers. The event was part of the popular Nature for Kids series.

The workshop, titled Nature for Kids: Hammer, Saw, and Screw, ran from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Participants worked with wood, learning basic carpentry skills under supervision. Each child crafted their own wooden animal to take home.

The session cost €9 per child. No details were provided about the instructor or organiser of the event.

The workshop gave young attendees practical experience with tools in a safe environment. By the end of the day, each child left with a handmade wooden animal. The event continues the Nature for Kids programme’s focus on outdoor learning.
