Halle-Neustadt's historic landmark reborn as a 2026 holiday hotspot

GWG Halle-Neustadt is transforming a well-known local landmark into a new holiday destination. The project, set to open in mid-2026, will offer discounted stays during its first summer. Bookings for the apartments have already begun, with the first visitors arriving on July 1, 2026. The company has a history of providing holiday rentals at Boardinghaus Weinberg Campus since 2013. Now, it is revitalising a historic site in Halle, once home to 'Kaffee Kurzhals'. The new development will include a mix of one-room studios and full holiday flats, some featuring private terraces.

Guests can reserve their stays through Booking.com or directly via GWG Halle-Neustadt's guest services. To encourage early bookings, a 20% discount on overnight stays will apply from July to September 2026. Construction is on track for completion by the start of that summer. The first visitors will check in on July 1, 2026, marking the official opening of the apartments. The project adds to GWG's existing portfolio while bringing new life to a familiar location in the city.

The holiday apartments will offer a mix of short-term and extended stays. With the summer discount and a variety of room types, the development aims to attract both tourists and longer-term guests. Bookings are now available, and the site is set to welcome its first arrivals in just under two years.
