Gütersloh's 'Gütersloher Frauen' Calendar Celebrates Women's History, Limited Copies Available
Gütersloh's city archive has announced the availability of its new 2025 calendar, 'Gütersloher Frauen', which celebrates the achievements of women in the city's history. The calendar is now open for pick-up at the archive's location on Moltkestraße 47, with limited copies available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The calendar, designed to challenge the perception of history as male-dominated, features 12 women who have significantly shaped Gütersloh over the last 200 years. Despite extensive research, the name of the first woman depicted in the calendar remains unconfirmed.
The A5-sized table calendar is timelessly designed and equipped with a date slider for reuse year after year. It is available free of charge at the city archive, with one copy per person allowed. The edition is strictly limited to 200 copies, making it a highly sought-after item.
The city archive is open for calendar pick-up on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 am to 12:30 pm, and on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The 'Gütersloher Frauen' calendar is a testament to the city's rich history and the vital role played by women in its development. With only 200 copies available, interested citizens are encouraged to visit the city archive soon to secure their free copy before supplies run out.
