Grundner Alpaca Farm Opens Accessible 'Almhütte' Shop Celebrating Sustainability

The Grundner Organic Alpaca Farm in Danersdorf opened its new, fully accessible farm shop 'Almhütte' on October 26, 2025, attracting numerous visitors. The opening was part of the 2025 Regional Days and celebrated regional craftsmanship, local heritage, and sustainability under the motto 'Sustainably Inspired!'

The 'Almhütte' opening was blessed by parish vicar Michel Coumba Cor Sene, and District Administrator Tanja Schweiger praised the initiative for showcasing regional commitment and creativity. Visitors enjoyed guided tours, alpaca taster hikes, and demonstrations of alpaca fiber spinning. The new shop offers high-quality alpaca wool products and handcrafted goods, mostly locally made. Regional exhibitors, including a beekeeper, a seamstress, and an info booth on 'Outdoor Yoga', participated in the event. A 'Taste Festival' offered local culinary specialties, and a 'Hot Aperol' drink was popular among attendees. The event was organized by the Grundner Organic Alpaca Farm in cooperation with the Stadt.Land.Regensburg Eco-Model Region, with support from another organization.
