Grugapark reopens with spring blooms and extended attractions for 2026

Grugapark has reopened its popular attractions for the season, welcoming visitors with vibrant spring blooms. The miniature railway, free-flight aviary, and kiosks resumed operations on March 28, 2026, just as daffodils, Solomon's seal, and bluebells burst into colour across the grounds.

The park's free-flight aviary now runs daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Visitors can explore 25 varieties of large-flowered pansies, including Citrus Mix, Rhythm & Blues Mix, and Fruits of the Forest. Insect-friendly plants like sage, rosemary, and Eupatorium fill the raised beds, while clover, wild herb meadows, and a lavender-wildflower bed add to the seasonal display.

Admission prices remain unchanged for 2026. Adults pay €5.00, students and volunteers €3.00, and children aged 6–15 enter for €1.50. Starting March 30, the ticket office will close between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. During these hours, visitors with annual passes or pre-purchased online tickets can still enter through the turnstiles. Nearby, a linked NABU site features 15 types of flower bulbs, though the park itself has not specified a total count for its own floral exhibitions this season.

Grugapark's spring season offers a mix of natural beauty and family-friendly activities. The reopening of its railway, aviary, and kiosks coincides with peak blooming periods for many plants. Visitors can enjoy extended access through turnstiles, even when the ticket office is unstaffed.
