Friggity-Friday's here, folks! Get ready to rock and roll '50s style, because on June 6th, Goslar's city center is transforming into a lively, vibrant stage for the monthly "1st Friday Goslar" event. This time it's all about "50s - Oldtimers & Rock'n'Roll"!
A whopping 44 businesses are joinin' in, with 25 shops and eateries offerin' activities that'll take you back to the groovy days of yore. From Rock'n'Roll discounts to authentic decor, fashion, and classic 50s dishes, this night's gonna be a hootenanny of shopping and nostalgia.
Pay a visit to the "50 Years Kaiserring" pop-up store in the Kaiserpassage, open specially for the event. Initiated by Goslar's cultural department, you'll find an array of goods, some designed in-house by the city, others partnered with local pals. Get your hands on canvas bags, mugs, magnets, pins, beer, and cookies – and did we mention Master Baker Jürgen Braun himself will be there from 6 pm to present the Kaiserring cookies for the very first time? They'll be available for free that evening and will then remain in the Baker Braun branches and the KuCafé in the Kulturmarktplatz (KUMA) until the Kaiserring award ceremony in October.
Quench your thirst with a swig of the special "Kaiserring Spezial", a limited-edition beer brewed by Odin Paul. It'll be presented at the event, and only found at the pop-up store first – before it hits the beer festival on June 13th. Plus, there'll be all sorts of other great happenings on-site! Saunter through a 50s oldtimer exhibition, catch the sweet sounds of the D.A.S. Choir, strike a pose in a stylish Bulli on the Jakobikirchhof, and enjoy walk-around performances to round off the colorful program.
The city center's invitatin' you to a grand ol' time travel, promises the Goslar marketing GmbH and the city itself. "The 1st Friday Goslar celebrates cultural diversity, shopping joy, and community," they say. "With the 50s theme, we're not just reliving a special decade, but also the vibrant camaraderie of our city."
