Gifhorn's summer brings festivals, sports and family fun for all ages

Gifhorn is set to host a busy schedule of events over the coming months. The programme kicks off in early May and runs through to October, offering something for all ages. From food and wine festivals to family activities and sports competitions, the town will be lively with entertainment.

The first event takes place on Sunday, May 3, with the Farmers' Mile running from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy a special Sunday shopping day on the same date.

A few weeks later, on May 30, **Family Saturday** will bring activities for children, including quad bike rides, bouncy castles, and face painting. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In June, the **Gifhorn Primary School City Championships** will be held on Saturday, June 13. The competition features running races and games from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The **Gifhorn Wine Festival** follows in early July, taking place from Thursday, July 2, to Saturday, July 4. Each day, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., visitors can sample fine wines and sparkling wines. On Saturday, September 5, **Children's Saturday** offers a grand **mill rally** and other attractions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Later in the month, on September 19, the **Gifhorn Auto Fun Mile** will display vehicles from various brands, also between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The **Street Food Festival** returns in early October, running from Friday, October 2, to Sunday, October 4. Another **Sunday shopping day** will take place on October 4, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The series of events covers food, sports, family fun, and shopping over several months. Each occasion provides a different experience, ensuring a variety of entertainment for residents and visitors alike. The full programme runs from May through October, with activities scheduled for weekends and select weekdays.
