Gerhard Volk steps down after 25 years leading Ravenstein-Erlenbach's land reforms

Land consolidation in Ravenstein-Erlenbach plays a key role in shaping a sustainable future for the village and its surrounding landscape. Beyond expanding local roads and pathways, the project also develops peripheral areas and implements flood protection measures. The strong collaboration between local authorities and volunteers demonstrates that progress can only be achieved through trust and teamwork. I would therefore like to express my sincere gratitude to all project leaders and the entire participants' association for their exemplary commitment to the development of our rural region. It is with particular pleasure that I present the association today with the approval notice for early-start funding amounting to €382,200 to begin implementing the planned measures, said Peter Hauk, Minister for Rural Affairs, Food, and Consumer Protection, during his visit to Ravenstein-Erlenbach.

Land consolidation thrives on local dedication

Minister Peter Hauk took the opportunity of presenting the funding approval to extend his special thanks to Gerhard Volk, the outgoing chair of the Ravenstein-Erlenbach Land Consolidation Participants' Association, who announced his resignation from the position at his own request due to health reasons.

Gerhard Volk has always prioritized the advancement of Erlenbach and the town of Ravenstein, recognizing early on the opportunities that land consolidation offers for rural development. As chair of the participants' association, he served as a vital link between the municipality, participants, and the land consolidation authority. For over a quarter of a century, he carried out his duties with dedication and maintained professional contacts across the region. For this outstanding commitment, I offer you my deepest gratitude.
