Generous Giving Kicks Off at Wiesbaden's Summer Fair
Gear up for some good vibes and give back during the Wiesbaden Summer Market's Charity Days! From September 1st to 3rd, the annual Wiesbaden Summer Market will be transformed into a hotspot for charity, with proceeds supporting the Dwarf's Nose Center, Wiesbaden's Animal Protection Association, and the Wiesbaden Youth Fire Brigade.
That's right! Instead of winding down on August 31st, the market's organizers decided to keep the fun rolling for an additional three days. And why not? Let's not spend Friday turning Mamritiusplatz into a construction zone when we can enjoy the Market and support worthy causes!
So, what's the scoop with these "1st Wiesbaden Charity Days"? Well, when the idea was pitched by Otto Barth Jr. and his father, the answer was a resounding "let's do it!" And now, the Summer Market will not only showcase fantastic regional vendors but also serve as a platform for our remarkable charity partners—the Dwarf's Nose Center, Wiesbaden Animal Shelter, and Wiesbaden Youth Fire Brigade.
Think of these glorious days from September 1st to 3rd as a time to learn about and support the great work these organizations do tackling today's societal challenges. They'll be taking center stage, with the Summer Market acting as a catalyst for giving. In fact, our charity partners will be receiving a donation from the Market, as well as all the proceeds from the lucky wheel between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and lottery ticket sales between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Talk about win-win!
As for the specifics, the Dwarf's Nose Center will kick things off on Friday by showcasing their children's house, dedicated to caring for disabled and chronically ill children. On Saturday, you'll find the Wiesbaden Animal Shelter and the Queer Center Wiesbaden e.V., each doing their part to make a positive impact in our community. Last but not least, on Sunday, the Wiesbaden Youth Fire Brigade's unwavering commitment to safety and community will take center stage. Keep an eye out for the complete event program, which will be available on-site at the Summer Market soon and on Wiesbaden lives!
A big thanks goes out to the city of Wiesbaden for making this incredible initiative possible. Without the support of councilor Andreas Kowol and the event office of the city of Wiesbaden, this project would not have been possible. Trust us, by September 8th, the Market will be back to its usual self, but for those three days... it's all about charity, community, and having a blast!
