Geisa Library Unveils Must-Read Modern Novels at February Event
Geisa Library will host a literary event on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 18:00 (military time). The event, open to all, will feature a selection of current, highly praised novels. Attendees can expect lively discussions and engaging presentations on modern literature.
The evening takes place at the Athanasius Kircher House on Schulstraße in Geisa. Andrea Dänner, the experienced director of the Diocese of Fulda's Library Services Department, will lead the event. She will present a curated list of books that have gained critical acclaim in recent years.
Among the featured titles is Bonnie Garmus's Lessons in Chemistry, a novel that has resonated with readers worldwide. Dörte Schipper's The Women's Village will also be highlighted, alongside Judith W. Taschler's We'll Talk About Carl Tomorrow. Maxim Leo's We'll Be Young and Free and Jarka Kubšová's Highland complete the selection.
Organisers have described the event as both inspiring and entertaining. While no attendance records for similar literary events at Geisa Library over the past three years are publicly available, the programme promises an evening of rich discussion for book lovers.
The literary event offers a chance to explore some of the most talked-about books of recent years. With a knowledgeable speaker and a diverse range of titles, the event aims to bring together readers for an evening of shared appreciation. Doors open at 18:00, and all are welcome to attend.
