GEFMA 2025 Awards Honor Groundbreaking Facility Management Research

The German Facility Management Association (GEFMA) has recognised innovative research in facility management with its 2025 Scholarship Awards. Six projects, including theses and professional guides, received prizes totalling €10,000. The winners were announced in mid-November during a ceremony celebrating advancements in the field.

Julian Ramsauer from Nuremberg Institute of Technology took home the top prize of €3,000. His master’s thesis focused on assessing costs and implementation strategies for climate-neutral building portfolios. The research provided practical insights into reducing carbon emissions in large-scale property management.

The awarded projects address key challenges in modern facility management, from digitalisation to sustainability. The GEFMA Scholarship Awards 2025 highlight practical solutions that could shape future industry standards. Winners will now have the opportunity to implement their research in real-world applications.
