Freiburg’s new interactive transit maps simplify travel planning for passengers

The Freiburg Regional Transport Association (RVF) has launched an upgraded online maps for passengers. This interactive tool now shows all bus and train routes in the region, along with extra features for easier travel planning. The project was developed with Swiss geodata specialist GeOps AG as part of a pilot scheme. The new maps lets users zoom in to see individual stops and check fare zones through an optional overlay. Passengers can filter routes by line number and track vehicles in real time. Icons also display traffic disruptions and construction work, providing details at a glance. The RVF sees this digital upgrade as a major improvement for sustainable travel in the area. It aims to make buses, trains, and shared transport more accessible. The maps is now available for all passengers to use.
