Florida Panthers Honor 12 Trailblazing Women in South Florida's First Celebration of Women's Excellence

The Florida Panthers have kicked off their first-ever Celebration of Women's Excellence series to honour outstanding women in South Florida. The initiative highlights local leaders across business, education, healthcare, and community service. One standout event, Women's Empowerment Night, will take place on March 10 at the team's home arena in Florida.

The series recognises 12 women for their contributions, including executives, educators, and young achievers. Their work spans industries from sustainability and sports to healthcare and entrepreneurship, reflecting the diversity of talent in the region.

The Panthers have long supported gender equity in sports and leadership. Over the past five years, they launched the Women of the Panthers program in 2022 to promote female leadership in hockey. Annual Girls Hockey Weekends, running since 2021, have provided free clinics for over 500 young players at Amerant Bank Arena. The team also partnered with the NHL's Hockey Is for Everyone campaign between 2023 and 2025, offering scholarships and mentorship to female athletes in South Florida.

This year's honourees include high-profile names like Adelyn Olive, the Panthers' Senior Vice President of Communications, and Caitlin Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Jenni Morejon, President of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority, and Erin Black, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida's Senior VP of Sustainability, are also among those recognised. Other leaders, such as Gia De Jesus, founder of House of Athletic Fueling, and Kathryn Webster, KKR Principal and Tad Foundation President, represent the series' focus on innovation and philanthropy.

Young achievers like Mikayla Golka, crowned Little Miss ARC Broward 2024, join educators such as Tiffany Valldeperas, an exceptional student education teacher for Broward County Schools. The group also features Jemma Peterson, Program Coordinator for Growing Beyond Earth at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, and Juliet Murphy Roulhac, Senior Director of External Affairs at Florida Power & Light. Marketing and events professionals, including Carly Klein (El Car Wash) and Jessica Crosson (WISE South Florida), round out the list.

The March 10 Women's Empowerment Night, presented by AutoNation, will feature a pregame panel with several of these women. The event aims to inspire attendees through discussions on leadership, community impact, and breaking barriers in male-dominated fields.

The Celebration of Women's Excellence series builds on the Panthers' ongoing efforts to support women in sports and beyond. By spotlighting these 12 leaders, the team reinforces its commitment to gender equity and community engagement. The initiative also provides a platform for networking, mentorship, and recognition of South Florida's female talent. Future events will continue to expand opportunities for women in the region.
