Five-Year-Old Shakira Riding Waves in Zhaosu's Equestrian World

In the heart of China's Xinjiang province, a young girl named Shakira is making waves in the equestrian world. The five-year-old, daughter of local horse trainer Shirzat Nulum, is already displaying remarkable talent on horseback. Meanwhile, her hometown of Zhaosu, known as the 'City of Heavenly Horses', continues its ancient tradition of horse racing and human-horse bonding.

Zhaosu, nestled between mountains and endless skies, is home to over 100,000 horses. It's here that the mythical heavenly horses, or tianma, are believed to have originated. The county hosts the annual 'Race of Ten Thousand Horses' on the Karkant prairie, a spectacle that celebrates the deep bond between humans and horses. This bond is ancient and deeply symbolic, a testament to Zhaosu's equestrian traditions.

Shirzat Nulum, a dedicated horse trainer, has spent his life mastering the art of horse training. His five-year-old daughter, Shakira, is already following in his footsteps. The Akhal-Teke horse, a direct descendant of ancient Central Asian steeds, is revered in both Turkmenistan and China. In Zhaosu, these magnificent creatures are not just mounts; they are symbols of strength, speed, and grace.

Shakira's talent and Zhaosu's equestrian legacy promise to keep the county's equine culture thriving. The annual 'Race of Ten Thousand Horses' continues to draw attention to Zhaosu's unique heritage, while young talents like Shakira ensure that the bond between humans and horses remains strong and vibrant.
