FAP National Awards 2025 Celebrates India’s Top Educators and Students in Grand Opening
The 5th FAP National Awards 2025 opened with a grand ceremony honouring educators and students from across India. Over 780 schools, teachers, principals, and meritorious learners from 18 states and union territories received recognition on the first day. The event, organised by Chandigarh University and the Federation of Private Schools and Associations of Punjab (FAP), celebrated achievements in academics, sports, and lifelong contributions to education.
Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh inaugurated the awards as the chief guest. In his address, he praised private schools for raising education standards in the country. The ceremony also featured Satnam Singh Sandhu, Rajya Sabha MP and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, who commended the awardees for their dedication to shaping young minds.
A total of 20 awards were presented on the opening day across four categories: Lifetime Achievement, Academic Achievement, Pride of India (Academic), and Pride of India (Sports). The event will ultimately distribute 50 Lifetime Achievement Awards, 315 Pride of India Academic Achievement Awards, and 356 Pride of India Sports Achievement Awards. Additional honours include The Best School Award, Pride of School Award, and The Best Student Award. Dr G Immanuel, Chairman of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), spoke about the importance of integrating Art into education. He advocated for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) learning while warning about the risks of unregulated digital information. He urged educators to guide students in navigating online content responsibly.
The FAP National Awards 2025 continues to recognise excellence in Indian education through multiple categories. The event highlights contributions from schools, teachers, and students, reinforcing the role of private institutions in improving educational quality. No official Nobel Prize affiliation was associated with the awards, despite some claims.
