Faculty of Park University Showcased in Art Exhibition at Campanella Gallery

The Campanella Gallery in Norrington Center, Parkville Campus, is set to host the biennial faculty art exhibit from March 20, 2024, to May 10, 2024. This exciting event promises a diverse display of artworks from various faculty members at Park University.

Participating artists in this year's exhibit include Dora Agbas, Donna Bachmann, William Eickhorst, Merrick Henry, Matthew Krawcheck, Andrea Lee, Elaina Michalski, and Lynn Richardson.

Dora Agbas showcases her unique fiber works, combining embroidered linen, encaustic wax, and paper with plant ephemera. Donna Bachmann presents her mixed media assemblages, including her Secret Garden series.

Matthew Krawcheck creates abstract two-dimensional works using solvent transfer, gouache, and colored pencil. Elaina Michalski showcases her figurative ceramics adorned with gold luster. William Eickhorst specializes in photography, while Merrick Henry creates digital designs.

Andrea Lee's contributions include encaustic paintings with collage, and Lynn Richardson presents a triptych of "Notre Dame Burning" using graphite on paper. Elaina Michalski's work is also noteworthy, with her creations in figurative ceramics.

A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, March 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Gallery. Admission to the art exhibit is free and open to the public.

The gallery's regular business hours are as follows: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 4 to 9 p.m. However, during the exhibit, the gallery will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays, from May 4 to May 10. On other days, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. From May 3 to May 8, the gallery will have extended hours on Friday, closing at 4:30 p.m. instead of 9 p.m.
