Thuringia Marks International Children's Day with a Series of Events
International Children's Day, celebrated on June 1st, will see numerous activities across Thuringia, with various cities and regions offering multiple options for children. Aqueous Amusement
In Jena, children can participate in a children's festival at the GalaxSea recreation center, which includes an inflatable obstacle course featuring slides and climbing elements. Animal-inspired Events
The children's festival in Erfurt's Zoopark will provide bouncy castles, archery and target shooting, and a medieval encampment as part of an Arctic expedition lecture that highlights whales and bears. On June 1st, children aged up to 14 years can ride the mountain railway in Schwarzatal for free if they bring their favorite stuffed animal, serving as a "teddy ticket" for the mountain railway, the flat track, and the Schwarzatal railway. Puppet shows, balloon artistry, and other activities are on offer at the leisure and recreation park Possen near Sondershausen.
