Episcopal Church Launches Toolkit for Gender-Inclusive Ministry in Midwest

Province V of The Episcopal Church has launched a new training programme called Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit. The initiative aims to help clergy, lay leaders, and parishioners better welcome gender-diverse individuals. Registration is now open to all interested participants across the Midwest region.

The training forms part of the Engaging Gender Complexity (EGC) initiative, created in 2024 to foster understanding and respect. RenewalWorks, the organization behind the programme, will provide tools, language, and confidence to support inclusive ministry. The sessions are designed for anyone involved in church life, from clergy to congregation members.

The Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit is now available to congregations across the Midwest. Participants will gain skills to engage respectfully with gender diversity in their communities. The programme marks a step in Province V’s ongoing efforts to support inclusive ministry.
