Engage in the fun!: City Museum extends an invitation to Giebichenstein Castle and the Museum for their summer holiday event program

The Halle City Museum is set to host an engaging summer holiday program, with the thematic focus on the special exhibition "Play with!". From July 1st to August 7th, visitors can participate in a series of workshops and events designed for children and their parents or grandparents.

Kicking off the program on July 1st and 2nd, the City Museum, located at Große Märkerstraße 10, will host two events. The first event, "Tower Building in Halle", will offer participants the opportunity to delve into the art of tower building, a new addition to the museum's workshop program. The second event, "Playing through the Enlightenment", promises to be an educational and fun exploration of games and playthings from the Enlightenment era.

In addition to these two events, the program includes a workshop on the production of historical wax tablets, a chance to learn and play Roman Noughts and Crosses or Alquerque, and a new workshop, "Historical Pocket Games". Each event will incur a material fee of 5 Euro, although this can be reduced to 3 Euro with the "FerienSpaßpass" of Saalesparkasse.

For adults, the entrance fee to the museum is 5 Euro (reduced to 3 Euro), while children under 14 years have free entry to all events. Adults visiting the Oberburg Giebichenstein pay an entrance fee of 4 Euro (reduced to 2.50 Euro).

The "Medieval Tournament Games" are also part of the "Play with!" exhibition, offering a glimpse into medieval games and competitions. Participants can make their own Roman Noughts and Crosses or Alquerque games as part of these events.

The summer holiday program will take place from 14 to 17 pm on eight holiday days between July 1st and August 7th. For more detailed information about the program, including schedules and prices, visitors are encouraged to check the official website of the Halle City Museum or contact the museum directly. This will ensure you receive the most current and comprehensive information tailored to your interests.

During the summer holiday program at the Halle City Museum, there will be a family-oriented workshop on historical pocket games, allowing participants to delve into the past and share the experience with their loved ones, contributing to the family-dynamics. In the home-and-garden category, kids can join the Tower Building in Halle event, fostering creativity and relationships as they construct towers together.
