The Eifelpark in Gondorf secures the 63rd spot with a rating of 4.6 stars, while the Wildpark Bad Marienberg ranks 26th nationwide with an even higher rating of 4.7 stars. Other notable parks include the Tierpark Rheinböllen and the Tier-Erlebnispark Bell, both ranking 71st and 80th respectively with a rating of 4.6 stars. The Wild- and Erlebnispark Daun also achieves the same rating and lands in 66th place. The 'Garden of Butterflies' in Schloss Sayn in Bendorf makes it to 99th place with a rating of 4.6 stars.

Testberichte.de evaluated a total of 370 zoos, animal parks, wildlife enclosures, bird parks, and aquariums across Germany. Only facilities with at least 100 Google reviews were considered in the ranking.

While the top spots go to well-known parks, there are several lesser-known facilities that deserve recognition. These include the Wolfspark Werner Freund in Merzig, Tierpark Kunsterspring in Neuruppin, and the Tierpark Tannenkamp Wolgast, all praised for their high visitor ratings above 4.5. These parks often offer a less crowded experience than the biggest zoos. The Tierpark Hellabrunn in Munich is also highly praised for its naturalistic, spacious enclosures and immersive experience with species such as Alpine ibex and polar bears.
