Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 debuts as a smart mid-tier pool-cleaning robot

The Ecovacs Ultramarine P1, a new pool-cleaning robot, launched in June 2024 and is now available on Amazon for €549. The device was recently showcased at Lake Garda's First Look event, where its performance drew attention from reviewers and buyers alike.

During the demonstration, the Ultramarine P1 handled debris on pool floors, walls, and waterlines with consistent results. Its two-stage filtration system captures both coarse and fine particles, while a suction power of 4,800 gallons per hour ensures thorough cleaning.

The robot navigates using intelligent route planning, covering pools efficiently without wasted movement. Built to IP68 standards, it operates fully submerged and resists water damage during extended use. However, unlike some competitors, it lacks a docking station and must be lifted out and recharged manually. Independent tests have rated the Ultramarine P1 highly for navigation and general cleaning, often surpassing mid-range alternatives. Still, premium models from long-standing brands continue to lead in niche areas like specialised scrubbing or ultra-fine filtration.

The Ultramarine P1 enters the market as a capable mid-tier option, balancing strong suction, smart navigation, and a €549 price point. Its absence of automated docking and skimming functions may limit convenience for some users, but the device delivers reliable performance for routine pool maintenance.
