Eco-Friendly 35m Sailing Yacht Concept 'Flowform' Unveiled at Monaco Yacht Show
A new 35m sailing yacht concept, Flowform, has been unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show. This eco-friendly vessel is a collaboration between British design studio Winch Design and Italian design studio Frers Design.
Flowform's design is inspired by the sea, with an interior that celebrates sailing elements. Winch Design has created a bright, natural palette and tactile fabrics, while Frers Design has handled the exterior and naval architecture. The yacht's owner suite features a curved leather headboard and a wave-inspired ceiling with a skylight, providing a luxurious and comfortable space.
The yacht's exterior is elegant and sustainable, with a transparent deckhouse. When the wind is favourable, Flowform can be one of the greener yachts due to its net-zero propulsion system. The speaker, who began sailing at age 8 on a small Sunfish sailboat, believes there should be more new large sailing yachts due to their eco-friendly nature. Recent years have seen an uptick in such yachts, indicating a growing interest in sustainable luxury.
