Dusseldorf Eller: The town hall is commemorating its 50th anniversary
Celebration in the Rose Garden: A Memorable 50th Birthday Event
A beautiful celebration took place recently in the rose garden behind the district council's town hall in Eller, Lierenfeld, Vennhausen, and Unterbach. The event, held to mark the 50th birthday of an unspecified entity, was a resounding success, with the organisers of the BV8 expressing their hope for more guests in the future.
The celebration began with a warm welcome from Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller, who gave a greeting speech despite the rain that had started by then. The Welcome Point took care of the cake counter and offered various delightful delicacies in the rose garden, making the atmosphere even more festive.
Clown Pepita Ratz entertained the crowd with an interactive program, while the cheerleaders from Unterbach performed on the town hall balcony. The school orchestra of the Realschule Kamper Weg and the Young Opera also graced the event with their melodious tunes.
Unfortunately, many citizens did not notice the large banner inviting them to the festival, which was hung on Gertrude square. However, the carnival committee from Unterbach brought their dance group, and several honorary patrons attended the event, adding to its charm.
As the weather turned inclement, the sing-along program was moved indoors. KRASS, a neighborhood entity, had a bus with a program positioned in front of the town hall, offering shelter and more activities for the guests.
In a significant development, KRASS has found a home in the Bürgerhaus Eller at Jägerstraße since the end of 2023. This move is expected to further strengthen their contributions to the local community.
For those interested in upcoming events in the rose garden, it is recommended to check the official websites or social media pages of the Düsseldorf city council or the specific district offices. They usually provide event calendars and announcements for local community activities and garden events.
Photographs of the memorable occasion were captured by Dirk Schmidt, ensuring that the joy and spirit of the day will be remembered for a long time.
The birthday celebration transformed the rose garden into a vibrant home-and-garden setting, filled with delightful delicacies from the Welcome Point and various performances. In the future, KRASS, now settled in Bürgerhaus Eller at Jägerstraße, might host events that take place in the rose garden, enhancing the local lifestyle with community activities.
