Dongsuh Foods Celebrates 15 Years of Coffee Classics and Educational Growth in Daegu
Dongsuh Foods has continued its long-standing support for local arts and education with its latest cultural initiatives. The company’s annual 'Dongsuh Coffee Classic' concert series recently marked its 15th year, drawing large crowds in Daegu. Alongside this, its educational programmes have provided schools with new resources and learning opportunities.
Since 2008, Dongsuh Foods has organised the 'Dongsuh Coffee Classic', an annual concert aimed at promoting culture in local communities. The 15th event, held in Daegu, attracted over 1,300 attendees, bringing the total number of participants across the series to 20,000.
In 2022, the company expanded its educational support through two key projects. The 'Dongsuh Foods Dream Library' programme, running since 2017, selected Daegu Yongho Elementary School as its beneficiary. The school received 3,000 new books and had its reading spaces refurbished. That same year, the 'Maxim Love Scent' initiative benefited Daegu Seobu Elementary School. New musical instruments were donated, and students took part in a master class led by violinist Danny Koo. Additional funding for music education came from the Daegu Bank Foundation, further improving the school’s programme. Beyond libraries, Dongsuh Foods also backs youth orchestras through 'Maxim Love Scent'. The scheme supplies instruments and upgrades rehearsal spaces, helping young musicians develop their skills.
Dongsuh Foods’ ongoing efforts have strengthened both cultural and educational opportunities in Daegu.
