Distinguished Conservationist and Aristocratic Figure, Lady Sarah Aspinall, Passes Away: Renowned for her dedication to wildlife preservation, she defied tradition amidst personal hardship, maintaining an air of glamour throughout.

Born in the heart of Scotland, 1945 welcomed little Sarah Curzon - better known as 'Sally' to her pals - into the bohemian aristocratic community. Raised partly in Edinburgh, her upbringing involved private education by a governess, and attending a finishing school, while her politician father, a distinguished racer, instilled an undying love for motorsport in her.

Teenage Sally soon gravitated towards modeling, and found herself dating fellow racing enthusiast Piers Courage, a scion from the brewing dynasty, who shared an insatiable hunger for success, much like her racing-loving father. 'Piers was all about winning. So was Daddy, but differently. Daddy won in the traditional way; Piers was breaking new ground in the modern sponsorship era,' Sally once revealed to The Telegraph.

Diving headfirst into a whirlwind romance, Sally's life took a tragic turn when Piers met an untimely death during the Dutch Grand Prix in the late '60s. With her husband gone, a 25-year-old mourning widow, Sally returned to the limelight, diving back into modeling and running a high-end florist shop.

Romance found Sally yet again, this time with John Aspinall, a larger-than-life figure in London's social scene, famous for challenging British gambling laws, opening the first licensed casino and having a passion for exotic wild animals. Life seemed to be looking up when Sally and John tied the knot in 1972, with the glamorous young couple becoming the talk of the town.

Fast forward a few years, and tragedy struck again when Sally's son Jason, from her former marriage, was hit by a car, leaving him partially paralyzed. Sally and John stood by each other through the trying times, with John ultimately recovering financially after a few tough years in the mid '70s.

In the latter half of her life, Sally dedicated herself to the care and conservation of wildlife in her husband's zoological sanctuaries, Howletts and Port Lympne. Her resilience, courage, and passion for wildlife made her a force to be reckoned with in the unconventional world. Sadly, she passed away earlier this month, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through her dedicated conservation work.
