Dining Experience Awaits: Tobias Soppa Set to Dine at Eutiner Palace's Kitchen Beginning from Wednesday
After a two-and-a-half year closure, the Schloss Eutin Castle Kitchen in Germany is set to reopen on June 4, under the skilled culinary leadership of Chef Tobias Soppa. Known for his innovative approach to regional cuisine, Soppa brings a fresh perspective to the castle kitchen, blending traditional flavours with modern techniques and Asian influences.
Soppa, who runs Café Thienemann in Neustadt, has already been catering events and celebrations at the castle kitchen since the beginning of the year. His tenancy was officially announced in December, following his inquiry in November. Prior to this, Soppa honed his skills in esteemed restaurants such as Hotel-Restaurant Eichenhain in Pelzerhaken, Restaurant Schlossberg by Jörg Sackmann, Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, and The Newport in Lübeck.
The castle kitchen has undergone a significant renovation, with a six-figure sum invested in its transformation. The redesign maintains the baroque character of the house, featuring red and blue dining rooms and quotes from paintings adorning the walls. The entrance area is now clear and bright, with a self-service cake counter.
Breakfast is available on weekends, and the castle kitchen is open for lunch, with a menu that includes asparagus soup, house-cured salmon, pork belly, and currywurst. The castle kitchen also offers a pastry shop on Wednesdays to Sundays.
Two rooms are available for catering and celebrations, each with its own unique colour scheme. The castle kitchen is open for service on Wednesdays to Fridays from 11 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm.
To ensure the quality of the kitchen and service, a reliable team from Café Thienemann continues to work at the castle kitchen. Soppa's culinary expertise, combined with the dedication of his team, promises a truly memorable dining experience at the Schloss Eutin Castle Kitchen.
