DigiCert's Document Trust Manager upgrades to fight fraud and ease eIDAS 2.0 compliance
DigiCert has upgraded its Document Trust Manager to tackle document fraud and simplify compliance. The latest version introduces a unified dashboard for monitoring signing activities across entire organisations. Enhanced security features now include multi-factor authentication for logins and document approvals.
The updates arrive as companies in the EMEA region prepare for stricter digital identity rules under eIDAS 2.0, which takes effect in phases from 2025 to 2027. The new solution centralises signing keys, workflows, and certificates in a single secure platform. It supports PKI-based signatures under eIDAS2, ZertES, and AATL, ensuring compliance with global regulations. A protected storage system now safeguards private keys and signing certificates.
Remote authentication has also been strengthened. Signers must verify their identity through web or mobile-based secure methods before accessing documents. The system allows online counter-signing with multiple approvals in one workflow, reducing delays.
Integration with popular tools like DocuSign, Adobe Sign, and Adobe Acrobat has been improved. This ensures smoother adoption for businesses already using these platforms. The changes come as eIDAS 2.0 tightens rules for electronic signatures, seals, and digital identity verification, alongside ongoing GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.
The updated Document Trust Manager consolidates signature management into one solution. This covers standards such as AATL and eIDAS, helping businesses meet evolving legal demands while cutting administrative complexity. The enhanced platform provides a single dashboard for tracking all signing activities. It also enforces stricter authentication and compliance with upcoming EU regulations. Companies adopting the solution can now manage digital signatures more securely while preparing for eIDAS 2.0 implementation.
