Dhaka University's Zainul Gallery is currently hosting its annual art exhibition, which opened on November 1 and will run for seven days until November 8. The event, dedicated to the late sculptor Hamiduzzaman Khan, features 71 artworks by 43 students from the 2023-24 academic year, showcasing a variety of mediums including sculptures, drawings, designs, animation, photographs, and digital prints.

The exhibition kicked off with an award ceremony honouring six exceptional artists. Among them, Pratyay Saha received the prestigious Artist Anwar Jahan Memorial Award, while Mridha Md. Raiyan Azim was recognised with the Prof. Hamiduzzaman Khan Memorial Award. These awards not only celebrate outstanding talent but also pay tribute to prominent figures in Bangladesh's art scene such as Anwar Jahan, Abdur Razzaq, Novera Ahmed, and Hamiduzzaman Khan. They also acknowledge exceptional achievements in medium selection and experimental approaches in art.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dhaka University Treasurer Professor M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. The event was chaired by department chairman Nasimul Khabir and included speeches from distinguished guests.
