Denzlingen's Käppelematten Project Kicks Off with 225 Eco-Friendly Homes

The Käppelematten development in Denzlingen is moving forward with its first construction phase. Part of the larger Unterm Heidach urban initiative, the project will bring around 225 new homes to the area. Plans include modern, sustainable living with links to a climate-neutral heating network.

The first phase, named Käppelematten, will cover 4.1 hectares of land. It features 12 multi-family buildings, each with three to five floors, alongside semi-detached and single-family homes. The design also connects the new district to existing green spaces and parkland.

On March 17, 2026, a committee approved the schedule for the initial marketing phase. Two public information sessions will follow: one on April 17, 2026, and another on May 6, 2026, both held at the Denzlingen Cultural and Civic Center. Infrastructure work is set to begin in summer 2026, with the sale of building plots starting in July of the same year.

The development promises climate-friendly living with access to a carbon-neutral heating system. Once completed, the area will add 225 residential units to Denzlingen's housing stock. Construction and sales timelines are now in place, with groundbreaking expected in the coming months.
